Hi Jerry,

I have no position to defend with regard to warrantee matters. If you 
quote me line and chapter then I agree with you. No quote = no agree. 
Because I was confused about warrantee issues I asked Leica. I have 
emails from the president of Leica USA and the vice-president who is in 
charge of warrantee and service. Both of these I have posted on the 
list. If you, or anyone else has different information that you can 
quote to us, I will gladly, nay, cheerfully with a song in my heart, 
learn something new.

It is simply not possible for the dealer to remove the individually 
serial numbered passport papers and lower the price. If you doubt me 
then check with the president himself. Roger Horn's email address is 
available on the Leica website. He is prompt with his polite, 
knowledgeable replies.
