So you are saying the profit for a dealer for a new M7 is around $100? I
find that hard to believe. Used gear gets more of a markup than that. Is
that in fact the case? Kit?

Fact is, I have bought most of my Leica gear from someone in HK, via email,
and have not had a single problem. Cost savings are on the order of %30 or
more. I have had nothing but a great experience in doing so.

Why is "support out the window"? I simply don't understand why you say
that. I had one issue with a shade for the 35/1.4 ASPH and it was handled
very well...I got an updated shade and case, at the seller's expense, with
literally very little effort. I can't recommend the seller I use more. I
do use one USA seller, who has been great, and I mean really great, but I've
found his prices aren't as competitive as my seller in HK.

Then don't say there is no support from overseas sellers, because though
that may be true for some sellers, it has not been true for the one I've
been using.

Yes, if there were an "in-town" Leica dealer (next to the cows and
chickens), that I happened to like, I'd support him/her...but there isn't,
as I live about 40 minutes to an hour each way from any Leica dealers.

Regards,

Austin
