Subject: [Leica] Nikon SF-200 slide feeder (again)

I know there was some traffic on this topic last summer, but figured I'd
check to see if anyone had any updates or tips. I'm in the middle of
scanning several thousand slides and trying to use the Nikon SF-200 slide
feeder to do it. What a nightmare - jams every few slides.

Does anyone know of Nikon has ever released any mods, recalls or hardware
updates to make this thing more widely compatible with various types of
slide mounts? I am using the plastimount, which is what Ivey-Seright here
in Seattle uses and they jam like crazy. They will also do cardboard
mounts, but I'm told they jam just as badly.

Nikon says the expensive Gepe mounts work fine, cut what do they expect us
to do? How can they sell a product that only works with a handfull of
relatively rare slide mounts?
