A number of years ago I couldn't get binocular accessories (a rubber rain guard) from Adolph Gasser in San Francisco because (I was told) the store was not a Leitz Binocular dealer. Gasser directed me to a competitor who was a binocular dealer as well a Leitz photographic dealer.
