Leica does not currently make UW housings for their cameras--I'm not sure they ever did. With that being the case, (and the ziplock freezer bag "housing" I tried with my Mint, black paint, M4 failing miserably in the deep end at the local YMCA...), Nikonos are the best choice for advanced underwater photography. As seems to be evident by the number of postings on the subject, many LUGgers own one or are interested in owning one in addition to their Leica gear--which they cherish above all others. The maintenance information given on this forum regarding the Nikonos was of paramount importance, (I can attest to the fresh water rinse after each use, and annual or semi-annual overhauls).
