Re-enactment groups like to show their stuff, and as you might
imagine, there are several in this area. We even have a WW II group
that owns jeeps, gun cars and machine guns powered by CO 2 that sound
like the real thing.  Another group I hope to show you when they
gather at the 1700's Fort St. John soon, is the Colonial French
re-enactors.

Lots of history in the Natchitoches area, even a young officer by the
name of U.S. Grant was stationed here early in his career.

Of course, since this is the site of the Red River Campaign, one of
the biggest re-enactment efforts comes from those who remember the War
of Northern Aggression,  (War of the Rebellion to some of you.)
