I have a comment in general about 28-70 mm zooms and that is that I woould find them a lot more useful if they went up to 80 mm on the long end. I think that this lens is, in general, better than its reputation. Having said that, it is a zoom lens, and as such will not preform up to the level of a fixed focus lens.
