Nathan,

They are noticeably easier on the eyes. You might read this article
before buying:

This also looks interesting:

I've looked at the Apple Cinema flat panels but at the time it was a
pain to get them to work properly on a windows machine. I've since found
that Samsung makes them for Apple so you might want to look at their
site to see what they have. I have a friend that has a Formac and he
swears by it. He has a 20" but paid a good dollar for it. The other
thing you have to take into consideration is that most LCDs have a
native resolution and do great at that resolution. Try changing it and
you loose quality. What resolution do you do your work at?

I am going to buy a new computer within the next month or so, and have
been wondering about the flat TFT screens that have now become the
standard. Specifically, are they any good for Photoshop work? I am not
talking about the high-end monitors here, just the ones that are
typically included with the computer. If they are no good for photo
work, then I will rather save my money and just buy the PC sans monitor.

Thanks in advance.

Nathan
