Subject: [Leica] Belated PAW from Jim Shulman

It's been a while since I ran film through my trusty M3. Much thanks to
Steven Alexander for finding the perfect softee to go with the camera.
It did seem to make a difference with many of the shots.

This week's picture came from another Reading Symphony Orchestra
concert. Our regular conductor, Sidney Rothstein, suffered a pinched
nerve which put him out of commission. The assistant conductor wasn't
quite up to a very difficult timpani concerto, so the orchestra flew in
Robert Franz, the associate conductor of the Louisville Symphony.

That's him getting funky with the audience!

For an uncanny resemblance, noted by a few audience members, try this:

Theater photo taken with Elmarit 135/2.8, Fuji 800 color neg, 1/250. I
love shooting in the theater: one lens, one aperture, one shutter speed.

Much thanks to Colin of Available Dark, Sal of, well, Sal, and Robert
and Kim Clark of Lancaster for making the Bryn Mawr Leica Day lunch so
much fun! Sal's stories ALONE are worth the day.

Best,
Jim Shulman
Bryn Mawr, PA
