The images were sharp enough, but the bokeh (out-of-focus rendition) was extremely harsh and ugly. I know that there is controversy about this concept and do not wish to start another long thread about it, but for me bokeh does play a part in lens evaluation. So I sold the Nokton and got a Summilux instead. With a 21mm lens the bokeh is irrelevant, since nothing is really out of focus anyway.
