You should call him and ask.  I am not his spokesperson.  My posting was 
simply to indicate that there are several ( many) Leica Dealers to choose 
from and most are fine folks.  I may have missed the point of your original 
question - LOWEST price at any cost?  That's tough for me because the low 
bidder may not be the best source for aftercare,etc.  If I am 
spending >$2000 I will not be dealing simply with lowest cost issues alone 
but rather the whole package - for example ( and this is just an example) 
Sam will always take my stuff in trade - I was astounded one day to find 
out that the famous NYC firm that is a Leica dealer refused to look at my 
used Leica equipment  - I don't mean we couldn't agree on a trade in price 
- - the salesperson came out and said they don't buy used equipment!!!  I 
certainly had purchased a fair amount of used equipment from them in the 
past so I was appalled at this and swore that that would be the last time I 
dealt with them.
