Allow me to add my kudos for your fine documentary work. Aside from the very moving subject matter. The work offers another element to the documentary discussion. While the portraits may not qualify as "documentary photography" the combination of words and photographs certainly fit within the documentary topic; in between photography, film and video. This area of print words and still photographs interests me greatly. And very few examples of bringing them together in powerful ways exist. While it is not necessarily an important comment regarding the work presented - the work could be greatly enhanced by adding the art of design to your art of photography and your wordsmith art. I'd love to see it all come together in a pdf where all three components work together with equal skill and consideration to image, word, and design. Wonderful.
