In the 50's a 28mm lens was still a big deal, tough to make, difficult to
use, few sold lens.  Therefore, there are not a lot of cheap 28's out there.
If you are patient, you might find a Canon 28 F3.5 between $100 and $200 at
a Camera Fair.  Another lens to look for is the Minolta 28mm in M mount for
the CLE.  It frequently has separation that doesn't really affect picture
quality and you can use the defect to bargain way down.

Other than that, I can't think of any lens you will find near the $100 price
point.  You might have better luck searching out one of the 25mm Skopar's
that was bought, and the owner couldn't figure out scale focusing.
