Subject: [Leica] Lens Hood for Nikkor 50/1.4 [was: Sunlight at the Statdust Motel]

Or a Walz/Hoya/Kenko vented 43mm hood. They don't
block the VF much & show up on eB*y occasionally for
around $25-30.

YOu are right. I am using a 40-year-old Tiffin lens
shade
and filter holder on that Nikkor lens. Obviously it is
not
quite large enough. It only shows up when I shoot at
f11 or
f16. But if I get a larger hood, it will obscure even
more
of the viewfinder frame. Sigh. Clearly I need a
Chron.
