The DR Summicron is probably the sharpest but at a contrast level that makes a mockery of lp testing. The better question is what are you going to want. If you want no DOF then either the Noctilux or the 75 Summilux are your ticket. If you want pleasing portraits for your age challenged female family members then the Summar or Summarit near wide open are just the ticket. If really crisp rendition of fine detail at the plane of focus at large apertures is your ticket then look at the Cosina Nokton(OOF is especially poor), or the R Summilux. Should you shoot in the middle apertures then the current Summicron is hard to beat for a combination of fine detail and very smooth transition to OOF. Lenses are a very personal choice for commercial and artistic purposes. It is fortunate that in the Leica world, your choices are unusually large.
