You might try Blue toning those pixels instead. Just soak them in a solution of Kodak Blue Toner T-26. Or try the Ansco Formula: GOLD TONED Ansco 231 Water (125 deg F or 52 deg C) 750.0 ml *Ammonium Thiocyanate 105.0 grams Gold Chloride, 1% Solution 60.0 ml Add cold water to make 1.0 liter *May be substituted by: Sodium Thiocyanate 110.0 grams or Potassium Thiocyanate 135.0 grams 1 gram of Gold Chloride dissolved in 100 ml of water will make a 1% solution. You'll find 16 bit images require more time or a hotter solution than 8 bit!
