Subject: [Leica] After return from Canada--trivia

I have not yet--after a year--learned M6 TTL discipline. Every so often, I
take it out of a case and find that I forgot to turn the shutter speed dial
to "off." So, I'm a bit paranoid about always having a spare battery.

Shortly after returning to Main after the wilds of Nova Scotia, we passed a
real camera store in a small town in Maine. As I was asking about a
battery for the Leica, I saw a monstrous F5 in the showcase in front of me.
While I was telling my wife to look at that huge hunk of camera, the clerk
took it out and handed it to me to demonstrate how much it weighed (less
lens, yet). Well, I thought it didn't really outweigh the M6 by all that
much, so I took out the Leica and handed it to the her. Her comment made
MY day: "Gee, I touched a Leica. It's made my day."
