Though I think it might still be the case that as long as he has the proper Proof of Citizenship ID (usually something like a birth certificate + other stuff) he may be okay. But I would check for up to date info See if he can get hold of someone at the Canadian Embassy: http://www.canadianembassy.org/ or the nearest consulate http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/can-am/menu-en.asp?mid=6&cat=96 (I looked at a couple of other sites, such as VIA Rail and so on, and they still seemed to say the proof of citizenship route was okay). tim > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Austin > Franklin > Sent: Tuesday, October 08, 2002 9:04 AM > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: [Leica] OT - Traveling to Canada from US... > > > Hi, > > My brother-in-law is traveling to Canada in a few days, and he discovered > his passport was expired (last year).
