Henry -

I think the key is to have a reason to photograph.  The reason can be as 
simple as photographing something to communicate how you feel about it or 
as complex as photographing something to make a difference in the 
world.  If you don't have a reason, your photographs won't communicate 
anything and you won't be satisfied.
