Oh yes :) But it is not as simple as I would wish it to be :)
First: you have to apply a color profile of film recorder to your photo.
Second - if I recall correctly, film recorder consists mainly of CRT tube,
lens and film :) so, if your image has different size (in pixels)
than CRT in film recorder, then you will get Moire effect.
Third - you still have to expose a slide. You may paint a picture
osing oils or create picture on a computer, send it to numerically
controlled robot which in turn will paint this image with oils.
Strange way of doing it ^_^
Fourth - for a typical Bitec Montage FR2E film recorder with
4000 lines resolution, 32 bits image depth (enough to make slides
of Provia or Velvia quality) you will pay 6500$.
Polaroid ProPalette 8000 costs 3600$. Even smallish Bitec
Mirus Turbo costs 1295$ :)

Of course you can send your files for converting into slides
for some 60c each. Tis means 24$ for one film - and even roll
of Provia costs four times less! - and you can use a lot cheaper
and still very decent Sensia for 3.65$! :)
