For twenty years, from the mid-30s, the same time she started writing, until the mid-50s, when she lost her Rollieflex in Paris, she photographed the people around her, most notably the people and places of Mississippi during the depression. Her photos are not arty and politico like the better known FSA photographers, instead warm and familiar and understanding. Worth checking out.
