The M series does not use gaskets and whathaveyou like the current 1V or the
Pentax LX. However, the tolerances on the top cover is such that only
under a deluge will anything untoward happen. The Deadman lost the use of
his M for a few days when shooting in a pouring rain, the camera worked fine
but the viewfinder was a little foggy. It is my understanding that the
camera dried out of its own accord. If JD is still on the list then please
correct me if I'm wrong.
