I have used -- with reasonable results, a very cheap focus aide. When
I finally got my Focomat --- I now feel like I can go totally
Leica--- it came with an Omega grain focus device. At first I was
unable to work out how to use it. The top was black, there was a
mirror below and a white bevelled bit on the base. The eye piece
moved, but I could work out how to focus it. Now if only I could see
something coming out of the enlarger.

Suddenly it hit -- the top was hinged :-) Ok, I got the surprize of
my life to actually focus on the grain: fantastic, and it made
setting up the autofocus on the V35 quite easy -- I hope :-) but why
is there a mirror on the bottom surface? Please inform this neophyle
focuser.

Cheers
