I like 38 a lot, having a particular liking for motorcycles.  I had the
same lens for a few years and used it as my standard lens - great lens.

I do not think it is as bad as some have made it out to be. According to
Erwin it is the same optically as the 3rd version 35/2.0, except with
one
more stop. Not an ASPH but still very good.
