The lines between digital and film are already blurred. A good example being use of digital to print negatives for wet dark room contact printing (enabling 35mm film for platinum printing). I take B&W and don't expect that I will like or read everything in it. I also recognize that what I am intested in today may be very different than what I am interested in next year. I think it is a big mistake to ignore a whole area of black and white photography in a magazine on black and white photography.
