I have Vuescan and am trying to find one of the glass slide holders (so far haven't found one in stock anywhere, but have just started looking). I bought a holder for 2 1/4x2 1/4 mounted slides, but all of mine are in glass slide mounts, and I suspect that the glass in the slide mount may degrade the quality of the scan...I'll try the same image both ways and see. - --- Tim Atherton <tim@KairosPhoto.com> wrote: > Darrell, > > we have an 8000 at work, but my colleague (and > fellow lugger) John Poirier > uses it mainly and has fiddled with it the most. > > John did get the glass film holder (those nikon > scanner accessories are > darned expensive!) and I think found it works fine > with that. > > We also use it with vuescan a lot more than the > Nikon software > > tim > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > > [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On > Behalf Of Darrell > > Jennings > > Sent: Saturday, July 06, 2002 12:53 PM > > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > > Subject: Re: [Leica] Nikon 8000 scanner > > > > > > Thanks Simon, I will check this out.
