I think the level of disappointment of a new shutter against sticking
with what users and connoisseurs have been used to for many decades
would be greater.
That's what they were thinking I'm sure.

They built a more modern camera but within the constraints of a very
classic shutter. To many it will still be considered a Leica and not
something else unmentionable.
