When a creative person puts her name on a creation, it's hers, for better or worse. Mediocre or bad creation, don't put it out for the public, destroy it. I've a fair number of friends who are painters and sculptors. Can't tell you the number of times I've seen them reuse a canvas by simply painting over work that displeased them, or took a hammer to clay.
