Money 2. Money 3. I'm waiting for all the bugs to be worked out - and the viewfinder flare to be eliminated - before I worry about the fourth item; 4. Money ;-) B. D. and I was one of the leaders in not having them change anything as you and many others will re-call.. I suppose more from fear of Leica screwing-up a fine working camera due to adding some whizbang electronics that really wouldn't do anything but appease some M6 whiners. However, the camera was improved, even though some folks point out other manufactures were using a version of this AE thing centuries before. Big deal, but they didn't have Leica glass to go with the body. ;-) Right now I'm as pleased as all get out with the M7, with more ordered, as it's filled a gap in the handling of the M6 allowing me to work faster and capture many more moments previously lost due to making some little adjustment of shutter speed or aperture. Now I free wheel my shooting, concentrating completely on the subject and focusing and getting a greater number of usable frames due to the efficiency of the M7 metering system.Which quite frankly must be improved somehow from the M6. What? I don't have a clue, but I never in 15 years plus of M6 use ever hit roll after roll of consistently correct exposures as happens with the M7. Anyone who's accustomed to shooting with an M6 and gives an M7 an honest test with a bunch of rolls and doesn't switch to the M7 is missing the boat. And for the kind of shooting you do with families I bet your successful frames on any shoot will be a way ahead of what you get now. Simply because at the moment you shoot without fear in all kinds of light and yet you still have to make adjustments, but with the M7 just imagine setting an aperture and then shooting away to your hearts content with nothing more to consider but focusing and capturing the ideal moment of expression. It's cool! :-) Trust me good buddy would I lie to you? ;-) ted Ted Grant Photography Limited www.islandnet.com/~tedgrant - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
