Those for the M series are minus O.5. Those for the R3 and R4 series are minus 1.0. Those for the SL and SL2 are minus 0.5. The +0.5 diopter attachement for the Leica M works well for me and sharpens up the viewfinder image quite well for me. Before I gave up on trying to focus on ground glass I had a correction lens made for a Hassy Prism finder. It was quite unsatisfactory and I finally gave up. I now use a Mamya M7 for 2-1/4 work and, yes, I use a +0.5 correction lens in the viewfinder. Mamya does not make a +0.5 corrections lens for this camera so I used one from a Minolta CLE. It is obvious that camera viefinders are not the same. I read somewhere in the distant past that some (most? all, nah) viewfinder designers assumed that infinity could be viewed as if it were one meter away. I hasten to add that I know nothing about complicated optical laws but I do know that my trifocals seem to be corrected for distances of about 12 inches, 28 inches, and 20 feet. So one meter is about 11 inches further than the best corrected point on the mid section of my trifocals and if I place a +.0.5 correction lens in front of may glasses, the image at one meter sharpens to an acceptable (readable) level. So, +0.5 works well for me with M bodies, Mamya M7s, and CLEs. This did not work for Nikoon Fe2s. All this may be an illusion but it seems to work for me. Ed K.
