My old 135mm had the typical Leitz quality. The new 135's have the feel of 8th grade shop class products. From what I have heard, so much of the stuff is farmed out it is a wonder it fits together at all. The pressure plate fiasco of a few years ago bore out this info. While shooting African animals close up, I had to constantly check the aperture ring since the slightest touch would change the setting. Good luck with the new 135 and keep a close eye on the ring.
