Whoa!  That was interesting.  I make my first post in months, go to work,
come home, open the digest and find I have started a war.

Sorry I just used the local name for the festival.  Since I was really
aiming the note at other DC area Luggers I didn't occur to me to explain
further.  It's probably called officially by some all-inclusive politically
correct mouthful, but "Pride day" is what we call it.

Still, I should have known better.  I was once interviewed by the Washington
Post because I was involved in a rally in undergrad.  The reporter asked me
what student club I was president of, and I told him "Georgetown Pride."  To
my amazement, the guy then asked me what kind of a club that was. So I guess
the gay community is a bit under the radar screen for even worldly
Washington Post reporters, let alone the LUG.

I will try to be more specific in future.

P.S. I personally think the figure is around 4-7% of the general population,
and we are EVERYWHERE.  Even on the LUG.
