The San Jose Mercury News newspaper has an article today about combo digital
still and video cameras. They show a Panasonic PV-VM202 camera with a Leica
lens (Leica Dicomar). Some info at:

http://www.consumerdvreviews.com/camcorders/panasonic_pvvm202/specs.asp

Also there are more references on Google under PV-VM202.

A few months ago, I saw a picture of a 24P professional quality Panasonic
digital movie camera with a Leica lens. This was shown in a Panasonic
technology presentation at Cinequest (San Jose Film Festival).

Hope this all indicates new financial vitality at Leica in the months and
years ahead.
