Actually the dreaded Rottweiller and the Doberman Pinscher  are two of 
the best behaved dogs around. If they are mean, their owners trained 
them to be. Standard Poodles have a quite nasty temperament from too 
much inbreeding for that special look (so I was not surprised by what 
B.D. reported) and many of the cute ornamental dogs are not far behind.

Hard to top a good old mutt of uncertain heritage.
