Where possible avoid such storage, when not, use desiccant to prevent moisture from accumulating. To remove the musty odor, make a very mild solution of water and bleach (50:1). Wipe the equipment with a rag impregnated with it. Obviously avoid wiping the glass elements. Allow to sit in a well ventilated area. To clean the glass itself, use ClearSight lens cleaner, it contains its own anti fungal agent Joe - ----- Original Message ----- From: "B.Entus" <brutus@mda.ca> To: <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Sent: Monday, May 13, 2002 2:43 PM Subject: [Leica] Musty Gear > Ever end up with gear that has a slight musty ("damp basement") smell? > What causes this?
