You will need a moderate telephoto for portraits say something from 75 to 90. Then a wide angle usually in the 28 to 24 range will let you get group shots and close in shots. If you are a nervous and anxious fellow then use a 50 only so no mistakes changing lenses. If you have nerves of steel then a 21, 28, 50, 75-90, and something around 200 for a down the aisle shot. Should you go the medium format route then the classic in 6X6 is a 65 and a 120 to 150 telephoto. Many would recommend a Rollieflex TLR for simplicity, ease of use, and silence.
