Subject: [Leica] Carbon fiber tripods (cont'd)

I sincerely appreciate everyone's input to this weighty (pun!) and
potentially costly decision. By my reckoning I could achieve a significant
weight saving, i.e., at least 1kg, over my present Manfrotto only with the
Gitzo 1228 and the G1270M low-profile head (I don't do ball heads). What if
anything would argue against that particular head if used only with the M6
and the 24mm or 90mm?
