Not true. It is simply time and temp. You can let a tank full of film and 
developer simply stand for a few hours, invert it every minute or two for 
12 to 20 minutes, or run it in a JOBO for 6 to 12 minutes. I run my B&W in 
my JOBO and have never had better negatives. Acros and Tri-X in Xtol 1:1 in 
the JOBO is killer.

Tina did the same when she used film.  :)

A JOBO is one of the greatest film/paper processing devices ever made.
