It is my favorite portrait lens, the one and only reason I haven't sold all my M gear. I believe the Tele-Elmar to be sharper, not always the most desirable trait for portraits, even of the young. There are some pictures of Sarah at http://www.mindspring.com/~flagstad/photos.html that I took with this lens, though I do not think the scans reveal the luminous, 3-D quality that I love about this lens, a quality it retains stopped down. It doesn't take much of a blow to knock the prisms in the eyes out of alignment. Sherry used to charge $45 to re-collimate them. I'll never tell how I learned that. <VBG> It is big as a battleship and twice as heavy. These are its drawbacks, IMO. Since I've always used mine on an M3, I don't know how the framelines and focusing would be on an M6. If you want a fast and furious introduction to what the much-touted Leica look is all about, this lens will give it to you.
