Subject: [Leica] Nathan's PAW 17 substitute - London snaps

Nathan,
How were these pictures scanned? I don't know if somebody's said this, but
the pictures (pleasant pics they are) look as though they were scanned with
a dirty scanner. Could this be? I once had a Nikon Coolscan which made
really ghosty images-softy like around the contrast boundaries--and a
cleaning of the lens and collector mirror crisped things right up. I took
the thing apart to do it, but I've heard of others doing it with a cotton
swab in through the opening. Of course, if it's a flatbed scanner, forget
the above, and get out the Windex.
Scott
