Mark -my classic had the 35/2 summicron on most of the time and it was only
after my train trip across the country that I realized that the frame
selector was broken - any other lens on it still brought up the 35 frame. 1
month After passport expired !!!! That was two years ago- just realized thru
talking with my wife that I had a rider on the camera and they pay for
repairs. They called up and wanted to know if this wasn't just normal wear
and tear. I was calm and indicated that the Leica is meant to last a
lifetime and that this 3 year old camera was just starting to get warmed up.
After they consulted some company guru they came thru for the $198 that it
cost to repair.

When I first held my Leica M6 Classic (black) with the 35summicron thats
virtually glued to that body, I was very emotional.. I nearly cried..

I had spent 15 years wishing I could afford one and I was finally granted
that opportunity.

2 nights ago that very camera fell off the car seat onto the ground.
Contacting the cement from 4 feet on the rewind lever.

Once again I was nearly brought to tears.

Its on its way to leica, not 4 months out of passport warranty. :(

Luckily I have a M6TTL Chrome to back it up. Not as good and Not my
favorite, but it will do. :)

Maybe that emotion enters into the photographs that I take with them.

how to come in through any kind of window, but the stained glass windows
just work better to solve the problem at hand.
