Legally this should not be any different from calling directory assistance to obtain a telephone number: the information itself is public but the DA provider can still charge you for the service they perform by providing access and searching the database for you. When it comes to photos, wasn't there some discussion of the MSN terms and conditions a while ago? This is one of the reasons I use a proper web hosting service, with the added benefit of freedom from ads and other unwanted screen adornments.
