Subject: Re: [Leica]pictures for critque- being our own worst critic

Olivier,

I am glad. I do not know how many photographers out there are their own
worst critics. I have come to realise that having confidence in your
photgraphic ability is almost a catch 22 situation - ie. the more
confident you feel the better images you make but you won't feel confident
until you have taken images that are good, if you get my drift. I still
suffer from a total lack of confidence when it comes to displaying my work
and the small amount of praise I get when I do does wonders for my soul
and inspiration. It is so rare that I can look at one of my shots and it
takes my breath away - I can propably boast 2 in all my years of being
involved. I also used to be very conscious of people watching me when
working, until I attended a photo workshop where we needed to work amongst
the general public. After 2 days of intense concentration I realised I
had not thought about my surroundings once and managed to improve on being
so conscious of those around me. It has also helped getting my M6 - my F5
attracted far too much attention.

Happy Shooting Olivier.

Karina
