Do you mean filters that are placed under the lens just for the purpose 
of viewing the picture on the easel? I'd be very interested in this - is 
there a book that describes the technique, or do you care to? After 20 
years as a B&W printer, I am finding the color balance the hardest part 
to get right...

ps. you should try some Ilfochrome sometime - it is a lot of fun, and 
the colors are fantastic!
