I say the sarcasm was minimal. Yes the point might be how many of us have newsletters that we send out to a nice circulation... And the answer is none, only Erwin is plugged into lens testing gear and has the wherewithal to fire intelligent stuff out on a semi regular basis. Export stuff out to a willing group of readers. I agree the 50 collapsible Elmar a choice piece of Leica glass for a M7 and M6 5,4 3 and 2! It's what my wife, Karen Rabiner uses to great effect. I'm envious of it and plan to some day get one. And a silver one at that. I think this is one lens where the sliver finish would help from a functional standpoint. The black aluminum might be too flimsy. The brass i think helps. And I've been getting into some of the high speed films too. The Neopan 1600 in Xtol 1:3 of course. But also the 800 speed Fuji NPZ has opened doors for me in my shooting. As something like 90 percent of all photography is done with color neg material i say take advantage of the technology at large. I have the whole roll put on a cd as it's developed. Raw scans. Makes for a digital Hasselblad or Leica M. Mark Rabiner Portland, Oregon USA http://www.markrabiner.com - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
