The reality of these lenses is that the tooling and R+D and left over parts
were probably written off several years ago.  They, ON THE BOOKS, are 100%
Profit, minus assembly and test labor.  This has nothing to do with
replacement cost, etc.  It is an accounting issue.

Face it, at 100 pieces, even at a cost to the delaers of $3000 each, the max
profit is only $300K... not a really big number.
