Seth, Photo Phreak, and other interested LUGgers,
The 400mm f/5.6 Telyt is a two element achromat designed exclusively for
use with the Televit rapid focusing mount. It was introduced in 1966. The
Televit was available in both Visoflex and Reflex mounts. It was last
available in 1972-3.
The 400mm f/5.6 and its mate the 560mm f/5.6 were the basis for the
later 400mm f/6.8 and 560mm f/6.8 Telyts.
They are excellent performers, I've had both lenses for many many years.
Happy Snaps,
Sal DiMarco, Jr.
