I think later versions of this particular shade got the number 12571. My reference book says the earlier ITDOO shade is also appropriate, but I have the impression that those are even more "collectible" than the IROOA. I suspect that the later 12585 hood, which was specified for both 35 and 50mm lenses, probably would work as well. (This is the shade that I had long ago when I had a 35mm Summicron, DR Summicron and 2.8 Elmar, all of which took the same shade). The even later 12504 hood for older (than current) versions of the 35mm Summicron and Summilux will also clamp on to the 3.5 Summaron, but it doesn't give nearly as close shading of the angle of view of the lens as the IROOA. I don't have a 12585 to compare to the 12504, but suspect that the former would be more efficient, from what I remember of its configuration. I don't know about aftermarket alternatives, but if your lens uses E39 filters, there might be a generic rubber hood out there. Hope this helps.
