Agreed.  The best AE lock design was on the Contax 139, RTS II and lowly
Yashica FX-D.  It was mounted on the front and could be set with a flick
of the finger. It would hold the reading as long as needed without
requiring any keeping-the-finger-on-the-button gymnastics.

It's a design I have yet to see bettered.
