Subject: [Leica] Dumb Question time...

On my new R8, there is an "off" button. However, I'm used to the earlier
'R' series, which were essentially "off" if you didn't tap the shutter
release. As the display in the R8 works the same way, my question is this:

Does remembering to turn the R8 "off" significantly extend battery life?
